Asia Jones, Co Founder and Executive Director. Asia joined Garden of Hope (GOH) as our first executive director in March of 2017. Asia has worked with youth experiencing homelessness in several states Ohio, Georgia and Michigan since 2016. Asia is committed to embracing positive youth development, trauma informed care and harm reduction practices a truly believes in the strength and ability of young people. Asia is also a firm believer in advocacy work and has been a member of Youth Moving Forward, Michigan's homeless youth advocacy team, since 2018. Asia teaches a course on youth homelessness within GOH. Asia is the Co-Founder and Director of A Garden of Hope Scholarship. Asia has created a Program & Curriculum that creates the opportunity for an experiential learning experience; whereby our youth's learning is determined and controlled by their emphasizes our youth perspective. This enables our youth to access their personal feelings of confidence, fulfillment, sense of purpose, and belonging from within. Our curriculum promotes a healthy self-image. It is teaching daily habits and a positive lifestyle that benefits a youth’s self-esteem and empowers a purpose driven individual. Garden of Hope, Inc. incorporates developmental assets using a skill building approach through workshops. Our youth learn essential skills in the areas of education, wellness, intention, and community. Asia has committed herself to service and Help Other People Excel.
